From the east to the west, healing has long been a part of human life. It has been practiced for thousands of years and in many traditions. Indigenous cultures and ancient civilizations (such as China, Egypt, Greece, Medieval Europe, and Native Americans) have traditionally seen the human body as an energy system with the innate ability to heal itself. In the Far East, cultures have embraced acupuncture, the concept of “life force energy” (or Chi) and the study of human energy centers (called chakras). Even Christianity carries a history of healing, especially through the laying on of hands. Renowned Christian healers include St. Patrick of Ireland, St. Bernard of France, St. Blaise, and of course one of the most noted healers ever, Jesus Christ., with 41 references in the New Testament of Jesus' ability to heal.
HEALING means “to make whole or sound” and the practice centers around using the hands in an intentional and loving way to positively affect the body’s natural biofield. Some people also experience physical, mental, or spiritual healing effects as a result of a healing session; for example, feeling less pain or feeling “lighter” than before the session. The applications are widespread and include: calming anxiety and depression, decreasing pain, enhancing recovery from surgery & illness, and easing acute and chronic conditions.
In the four plus years I’ve been practicing energy on myself and others, I’ve seen physical and emotional pain diminished, wounds healed remarkably fast, and hurting and closed heart chakras open up to embrace more life and love.
